The simplest approach to the Rodica is from the ski slopes on the Vogel. When we ride up by gondola to the upper station , we then ride with two more chairlifts onto the Visoki Orlov rob (Plato) just below the summt of the Šija. Then we descend into the hollow east of the cableway. We continue the route across hollowed terrain, then a valley opens out, parallel with the ridge of the Bohinj mountains. We descend to it , caution is necessary if the slope is iced over. In that case we ski along the bottom of the valley. Otherwise, however, we traverse as high as possible along the right-hand slopes. Onto the ridge we climb rather steeply and along it to the left to the summit of the Rodica, which we se before us. From the summit we descend to the ridge and then along little valleys to the Suha mountain pasture. We descend to the outrun of the valley towards the north-east. Beyond the pasture we ski through sparse forest, which tips steeply towards the flat ground. When we reach the forest road, we follow it first to the left and then to the right downwards to Laški Rovt.
