Maribor Pohorje is the eastern end of the Pohorje range and the ski resort closest to Maribor. A gondola lift runs up from the foot of the hill in Zgornje Radvanje, and at the top the slopes, mountain huts and views over the city and the Drava plain open up. Winter is given over to skiing, sledging and cross-country skiing, summer to the bike park, the hiking trails to Bolfenk and picking forest fruits. Accommodation ranges from hotels at the foot of the hill to apartments and huts on the mountain itself, and the centre of Maribor is only a few kilometres away, so a trip to the mountains and to the city combine easily.
