The Radovna valley begins in the village of Krnica, the last settlement before the road begins to climb up to Pokljuka. We descend to the bridge over the river Radovna, which we cross, and continue up along the river. The asphalt is soon replaced by comfortable gravel, which without major climbs and descents leads us into the valley. We can view several sights. Napoleon's stone (a marking on the road), by the bridge over the river, at a fresh break, are the remains of the Smolej homestead, we also ride past the Psnak sawmill and mill). After approximately 12 km of riding through the valley we come to a fork with a signpost. The left road leads into the Krma valley. To the Kovinarska koča it is four kilometres of gentle climb, and the road ends two kilometres further on. We return by the same route.
Valley Radovna is a destination in its own right for cyclists who do not fancy steep climbs, and at the same time it is the shortest and most beautiful approach to the Triglav valleys Krma, Kot and Vrata.
