From Lesce we set off for Bled. Just before the petrol station, which is on the right side, we turn right. We ride straight on along the road, past the school and the cemetery. When the road ends, in the narrower part we turn right and continue towards Gorje. We drive along the main, priority road through Spodnje and Zgornje Gorje, past Krnica. Then via Zatrnik we climb up to Pokljuka. We drive along the asphalt road to the turning for the Šport hotel. There we turn left onto a narrow asphalt path towards Goreljek. Soon after a steep descent there is the turning for Podjelje, where we turn sharply right. Through Podjelje, past the chapel of St Martin, we descend to Jereka. We continue right towards Lake Bohinj. We drive along the priority road through Češnjica, Srednja vas and Stara Fužina to Ribčev Laz. When we cross the Sava Bohinjka by the lake, we turn left. Along the main road we return through Boh. Bistrica to Bled and on to Lesce.

From Lesce you can fly over Gorenjska. In Lesce there is an airfield, where it is possible to fly over the Upper Carniolan places.Lake Bled, which came about with the retreat of the Bohinj glacier and is 2120 long, 1380 wide and 30.6m deep, Bled Island with the church of the Assumption of Mary and 99 steps, Bled Castle on its rock, the cave below Babji zob, the Parish church, the monument to Josip Plemelj and France Prešeren, the Grimšče manor, the pletna boatmen and the coachmen are part of the beauty of Bled that must be seen.Near Gorje, approximately 4 km north-west of Bled, Jakob Žumer, the Gorje mayor, and the cartographer and photographer Benedikt Lergetporer discovered the Vintgar gorge in February 1891.
The Vintgar gorge, 1.6 km long, is cut between the vertical walls of the hills Hom and Boršt, and it is adorned by the Radovna with waterfalls, pools and rapids. The path leads over bridges and the so-called Žumer galleries and ends with a bridge above the mighty 16 m high river waterfall Šum. Because of its natural beauties the Vintgar has been ranked among the more important tourist attractions of Slovenia, and the number of visitors grows from year to year. In one direction of the visit to the gorge you can make use of the possibility of the “panoramic footpath” across Hom to St Catherine (a historic little church and a beautiful view). At the entrance and at the Šum waterfall you can take refreshment in the buffets.

Pokljuka is a forest-covered high karst plateau in the Julian Alps. It is the largest continuous forest area in Triglav National Park. It is 20 km long and almost as wide. Pokljuka is a very popular excursion point; especially interesting is the Pokljuka gorge, which lies above the valley of the river Radovna and is only 1 km from the village of Krnica, 2 km from Gorje and 7 km from Bled. It is 2 km long and in its most picturesque part 40 m deep. into the limestone rock it was cut by water flowing off from the Pokljuka glaciers, whose remnant is today's Ribščica stream, a tributary of the Radovna. To the most beautiful central part paths for visitors have been laid out.

In Srednja vas you can rest while viewing the Parish church of St Martin. It is Baroque architecture standing on the foundations of a medieval church, mentioned already in sources from the period 1493 – 1501, and it was built in the middle of the 18th century. In Srednja vas two granaries have been preserved, the Prežel and the Špan granary from the beginning of the 17th century, which are today protected as monuments. Besides churches they were the only masonry buildings. They served for storing field produce.

The church of St Paul in Stara Fužina dates back to the Middle Ages. It is surrounded by a wall,
and covered with shingles. On the western side is a medieval porch with a flat wooden
ceiling. The porch is paved with rounded river stones and narrow flat stones.
The tower with a double onion roof and a lantern was built in 1726.

The Church of St John the Baptist, which stands beside Lake Bohinj, is the most famous filial church in Bohinj. It was probably built already before the year 1300. Stylistically it is the richest building in Bohinj, since it covers the period from the Romanesque to the Baroque and represents an important cultural and historical monument, and is therefore under monument protection. Especially interesting is the head of John the Baptist from 1380. The church is richly painted with frescoes; the oldest are from the 14th century. The place where the church stands has a rich history, since beside the church archaeological finds from the 1st to the 5th century AD were found.

The church of the Holy Spirit, which stands by the western shore of Lake Bohinj (by the road Ribčev laz – Ukanc), is said, together with the porch and the wall, to have been built in the 18th century. It is marked by its position on a gentle rise above the shore of the lake, below the forest and in the middle of a meadow. The church roof is Baroque. The nave and presbytery vaults have along all their edges a Baroque ornament impressed in the plaster, in the nave Mary's, and in the presbytery Jesus's monogram. The great altar is Baroque, while the two side altars are Rococo.

Ajdovski gradec is a small 585 m high hill at the entrance to Bohinjska Bistrica. In his poem The Baptism on the Savica the greatest Slovenian poet France Prešeren sang of it. It is a very old archaeological site, which represents an original settlement of miners and ironworkers already in the older Iron Age 700 – 300 years BC. On it the remains of the foundations of buildings, smithies and iron smelters are visible. The Zois manor with its tower clock stands in Bohinjska Bistrica. It was built in the second half of the 18th century in the neo-Romanesque style. A special sight is the coat of arms above the entrance door. It served the ironworking entrepreneurs as an administrative and residential building. Opposite the manor, in the Zois park, stands the Zois tower clock. It was built at the order of Baron Žiga Zois so that
the ironworkers would go to work on time, at the agreed hour. One of the most characteristic building curiosities in Bohinj are the hayracks and stacks. A special place is held by the group of hayracks in front of the village of Studor. They stand on private land which, at the time of the abolition of serfdom and of land reform, was divided among the then farmers from the village of Studor. The division of the land was carried out on a cadastral map with a ruler, which is why the plots are very narrow and elongated. In this way a concentration of hayracks – stacks came about in front of the entrance to the village. Because of their position, interesting carpentry workmanship and unusual concentration they represent a landscape speciality.

The Oplen House is a Bohinj farmstead of the elongated type, uniting under one roof
the residential and farm premises. It is one of the few houses in which it is still possible
to light a fire on the hearth of the black kitchen. The building is of masonry combined with wood.
In the Godec House in Bohinjska Bistrica, three permanent museum collections have been on display since 1979:
The Tannery Museum and the Small War Museum of the Isonzo front 1915 – 1917. Briefly
the life of the former owner, an excellent sportsman and hero of the national liberation struggle
Tomaž Godec is also presented. As a trained tanner he bought back his father's workshop with great effort,
while all the time being engaged in sport. He was an enthusiastic mountaineer and an excellent
cross-country skier – from 1928 to 1933 he was a member of the Yugoslav ski team.

He also built the first ski jump in Yugoslavia, at Polje in Bohinj.
