We begin the cycling tour at the end of the village of Lom pod Storžičem (parking by the Fire Station, 700 m) and after a few hundred metres we come into the hamlet of Potarje. A steep road awaits us, at first asphalted, then gravel, which brings us »Na Strmc«. Along a forest road we come to the viewpoint »Na Boštu« and cycle a barely further kilometre to the turning of the forest road that leads to the gate at the mountain pasture »Spodna Konšca«. From here we set off on foot to the hut, where we treat ourselves to a rest and refreshment. Behind us are a good two hours of demanding cycling, in which we have overcome 750 m of height. Into the valley we return past the viewpoint »Na Boštu«, and then across the forest slope of »Konšca«, to the village of Grahovše in the Lom valley.
The path across the »Konšca« is the first of the arranged themed trails in the municipality of Tržič and presents the way of life in the mid-mountain country. From the farmhouse to the mountain lodge the traveller discovers the treasures of the cultural and natural landscape, alongside which they may come to realise that they are at home in nature too. The forest-covered plateau »Konšca« rises steeply above the precipitous rock faces of the Dovže gorge and stretches gently, like a horse's back with a mountain pasture on the saddle, all the way to the foot of the Javornik. At the top, just below the tree line, on the saddle between the valleys of the Tržiška Bistrica and the Lomščica, the traveller pauses for a moment above the watershed and, in the reflection of the waters, recognises themselves in the middle of a wreath of mountains. The high pyramid of the Storžič to the south and the ridge of the Košuta to the north, on one side the »Vonc« on the other the »Kot«, and in between the human being – like the pointer on a pair of scales between the deepest and the highest secrets of nature.
