We start the route in Zg. Gorje in front of the Kašča refreshment bar. We ride below the village of Višelnica to the Mercator shop, where we turn left towards Jesenice. After a short climb to the village of Kočna we ride through the village, where a descent to Blejska Dobrava awaits us, on to the village of Lipce and to the bridge over the Sava River, where we turn right to the junction and then right again towards Slovenski Javornik. We ride along the main road towards Lesce, so caution will not go amiss. When we are about a kilometre away from the village of Potoki we turn left for the village of Moste and along this road we continue the route towards Žirovnica, Rodine, and in the middle of the village we turn towards Hraše. There we continue the route towards Lesce and along the cycle path and the old Betin hill we arrive at Bled. 

In the vicinity of Gorje, about 4 km north-west of Bled, Jakob Žumer, the mayor of Gorje, and the cartographer and photographer Benedikt Lergetporer discovered the Vintgar gorge in February 1891. The Vintgar gorge, 1.6 km long, is cut between the vertical walls of the hills Hom and Boršt, and it is adorned by the Radovna with its waterfalls, pools and rapids. The path leads across bridges and the so-called Žumer galleries and ends with a bridge above the mighty 16 m high river waterfall Šum. Because of its natural beauties Vintgar has been ranked among the more important tourist attractions of Slovenia, and the number of visitors grows from year to year. In one direction of the visit to the gorge you can take advantage of the possibility of the “panoramic footpath” across Hom to St Catherine's (a historic little church and a beautiful view). At the entrance and at the Šum waterfall you can take refreshment in the buffets.

In the immediate vicinity of Moste is the municipality of Žirovnica, which is full of cultural monuments. You can visit the homestead of Matija Čop, of Anton Janša (the first Slovenian beekeeper), the parish church, the church of St Martin, the church of St Radegund, the church of St Clement, and in Vrba the homestead of France Prešeren,….

Lake Bled, which was formed with the retreat of the Bohinj glacier and is 2120 long, 1380 wide and 30.6m deep, Bled Island with the church of the Assumption of Mary and 99 steps, Bled Castle on the rock, the cave below Babji zob, the parish church, the monument to Josip Plemelj and France Prešeren, the Grimšče manor, the pletna boatmen and the coachmen are part of the beauty of Bled that has to be seen.
