We can begin cycling in any place in the Bled-Radovljica area. I myself started from home and avoided asphalt surface wherever possible. So I rode past the Lesce airfield, across the "Kležnk" to the junction with the Imperial Road, merely crossed it and rode to Zgoša. From here past the primary school to the triangular field below Kamen Castle. We keep to the right-hand side of the field and come to a difficult gravel climb. Fortunately it is short and is only one of two slightly larger climbs on the whole route. Immediately after the meeting of the gravel with the main road we turn off from of it right onto a gravel road. After a short undemanding climb we come to the meeting point of this route with forest tracks. Here we prepare ourselves for an exceptionally pleasant fast but not over-steep descent along a forest track. Throughout we keep to the left-hand branches or rather to the track which is a little more made up. It is of course not marked, but you cannot get lost either. After a unique forest descent we come onto a poor road and on it we turn left. Although the road becomes narrower and steeper we follow it and come into the valley of the Peračica stream. Along the valley we follow the gravel road , which descends throughout. We cross the stream, and a few meadows. At the end there follows the second slightly larger climb ta the former rubbish dump at Črnivec. On the asphalt road we keep right and after a few hundred metres we again come onto gravel, which however after a few hundred metres we leave and to the left ride along a short forest descent to the village of Spodnji otok. At the beginning of the village we turn around the first house and after a short but steep climb we rise to the wonderful little church of St John the Baptist. From here we continue along a forest track the whole time in a westerly direction, we cross another track and thus through the forest and along a slightly less distinct track, which is however rideable throughout, we come to Dvorska vas, where the search begins again for routes which are not asphalted and consequently are also not busy with traffic.
A mountain bike and other equipment.
A short, distinctly XC tour with little climbing and exceptionally fine forest descents through the solitary forests beneath Dobrča. It is suitable in all seasons suitable for cycling, above all as a short, fast tour after a demanding day at work, or as a starter tour for building up fitness.
