Past Puštal Castle we ride through the settlement of Puštal and then along the Hrastnica valley. We follow the asphalt road and the signs for Sv. Ožbolt. After 6.7 km cycled we turn right. The pleasant ascent is followed by a somewhat steeper part. After almost 10 km we arrive at the little church of St Oswald, from where in fine weather a magnificent view spreads out. On Ožbolt it is liveliest on the first Sunday after 5 August, when St Oswald's feast day falls and there is a fair here. The descent into the valley continues along the same road, except that at the first fork we turn right towards the Bodovlje ravine, where 5.5km of the descent runs on gravel. In Bodovlje at the junction before the bridge we turn right, cycle through the settlement and then follow the cart track (1.5km), which runs on the right bank of the Sora. In Puštal we can round off the trip with a visit to the Nace house and the nearby Devil's Footbridge.
