From the road Polhov Gradec – Ljubljana at Dvor we turn right across the bridge (1.5 km) over the Gradaščica along a narrower asphalt track. At the junction (1.9) right and on gravel across a farmyard upwards onto a cart track. The next kilometre is very steep; in between we cross a motocross track and keep left. On the level stretch (3.0) a view to the left opens up to us. At the junction (3.2) we choose the left-hand path upwards and on to a fine clearing and further still to a wider path (3.7) where the path takes us right; at the next junction (3.9) we turn left (arrows drawn on a tree) along the main forest path then the next junction (4.3) right and upwards. The wide path winds through forests, over leaves; the ride is quiet and full of feeling. When a tree with signposts appears before us (5.1) we are finally set on our way. To the left one turns off to the mountain hut, while we continue right towards the summit. To begin with a steep forest path, then a level stretch and a junction. Here we can ride around the summit, but we continue the route along a forest "corridor" upwards to the summit of the Ključ (5.7), a mere 100 m away.

DESCENT – direction Horjul. At the beginning the steep descent runs right from the summit of the Ključ to the other – the Horjul side; at the junction (6.3) right off the cart track onto a forest path, soon on a bend a branch to the right again (6.6). The real hairpin is at (7.7); again we keep right and keep to the markings (we do not follow the main path left and downwards). The fine cart track is reminiscent of the Golovec. At the junction at the end of the level stretch again right and downwards (we follow the markings), instead of straight on. One last steep cart track, strewn with stones, and we are on firm asphalt ground in the village of Podolnica (8.1) before Horjul; to the right is Zaklanec. Link Horjul – Polhov Gradec: (A smaller pass, in between there is a total of 3.33 km of gravel on a gentle gradient, height difference 77 m). At Zaklanec (9.1), we swing right over the top of the pass (11.2 km, 423 m a.s.l.) to the main road in Dolenja vas (14.3) right next to Dvor, from where it is another good kilometre to the left to Polhov Gradec (16).
