We begin the route in Dobrunje in Ljubljana, direction Lipoglav. We ride past the church of St Leonard, along the asphalted road to Sadinja vas. On the right-hand side we catch sight of a quarry, and a little before Podlipoglav a chapel. At the junction by the memorial house, to which 10 memorial plaques are fixed listing the more important events of the National Liberation Struggle in Podlipoglav and the surroundings, we turn left towards Lipoglav. At Ipavec we turn right, again we follow the signpost towards Lipoglav. At the next fork, where the signpost for Lipoglav points right, we head left – towards Javor. We come to the next fork at the hamlet of Pance, where at the bus stop and the roadside sacral shrine we turn sharply and continue the route. Soon we come to the goal, to the village of Mali Lipoglav with the church of St Nicholas. Beside the church there is also an interesting old house with a relief ornament on the gable (IHS). The village offers us farm tourism, and on working days also a small shop with basic necessities.
The settlement of Mali Lipoglav got its name from the famous Slovenian tree, the Linden. Today this place is divided into two parts: the central part, where mainly long-established residents live, and the outer part, where mainly newcomers settle. The friendly people of this place are connected with the others from the neighbouring villages in various cultural and social activities. They founded the Lipoglav Countryside Society, the Fire Brigade Society, the Lipoglav Young People's Society and the Pensioners' Society, so that every year they invite you to cultural, entertainment and sporting events such as the day of blueberries, the firefighters' fete, a walk, cycling, …
