The starting point of the excursion is the fruit market in Pesnica. After a short ride beside the main road in the direction of Maribor we turn into the Dobrenje valley. On the flyover in the direction of Ranca we cross the motorway, and after it the railway and the "old" road towards Šentilj. Soon afterwards the real circular journey through the Slovenske gorice begins. After the descent into Vajgen we continue along the valley past orchards to Jareninski dvor, where we turn left towards Šentilj. Along the route across the Polička hills we can quench our thirst at the Mrzli studenec. After the steep descent into Zgornji Jakobski dol, in the continuation of the route only the last climb awaits us onto the Hlapje, planted with vineyards. Among wonderful vineyards, vinedressers' cottages and vineyard cottages a narrow road winds, which brings us to the Mulec chapel. We descend to Vogrin's windmill and continue past Johanez (a statue beside the route) through the Vukovje valley along the milk road to Pernica. Soon Lake Pernica and the Cesarič orchards on the left are also behind us. The last part of the route winds along the tranquil Gačnik valley to the centre of Pesnica, where we began our journey across the Slovenske gorice.
