Dravograd is one of the oldest market towns in Slovenia. The municipality takes in the extensive forests of Košenjak, the Pohorje and Črneška gora at the meeting of the Drava, Mislinja and Meža valleys. The upland villages and solitary farms are a rich treasury of old living culture, while abundant pleasures are offered by numerous themed walking trails, mountain biking and rafting on the Drava.
