I began cycling in Stražišče near Kranj and continued the route towards Sv. Jošt above Kranj. Quite soon a fairly good climb awaited me, which is about 5km long. The route leads past the villages of Pševo and Javornik. In the village of Javornik you can turn right up the slope; this route leads to Sv. Jošt,but I went on to Čepulje, where you should turn left onto Lavtarski vrh and Planica. There follows a short descent, but quite soon an easier climb follows again. At the top of the slope turn right, sign Lavtarski Vrh. To the left, however, you descend to Crngagrob ( shooting range ). To this smaller village it is a good kilometre, whereupon immediately after the sign Lavtarski Vrh turn left onto a forest track. When you ride along this track, after just 50m a branch will await you, where one track goes up and one down. Turn onto the left track, into a shorter little slope. From Lavtarski Vrh and up to Križna Gora the track is forest very well maintained, suitable for all kinds of mountain cyclists. At Križna Gora I turned round and continued the route back towards the section where we earlier turned right (sign Lavtarski Vrh 1km ). From here you can descend along the same route back towards Stražišče, while those with better mountain bikes can descend along the forest track towards Crnmugrob. The greater part of the route is very good; only on on part of the route is there a little more riding over roots, but there were no major difficulties. Out of the forest I came at the Crngrob military shooting range and continued the route along the main road towards Kranj.
