From Ribčev Laz (530 m a.s.l.)we cycle across the bridge, past the little church of St John and on into Stara Fužina(540 m a.s.l.). In the village we cross the bridge and continue in the direction of Srednja vas. After 1.5 km of riding we turn onto the branch (565 m a.s.l.) which goes left in the direction of the signpost for Studor. We ride through the village to the meeting with the gravel road to Uskovnica.We turn sharply left and continue a moderate climb along a wide and good gravel forest road. The last part, which runs along a few long hairpins, is somewhat steeper. At an altitude of 1020 m we come onto a levelling. From here we ride partly on the level, partly upwards along over short little slopes to the weekend cottages at Lom (1070 m a.s.l.). From here we continue right along a somewhat poorer forest road. After a few short steep sections we climb past the Uskovnica hut (1154 m a.s.l.) to the end of the road on a grassy clearing by the spring (1175 m a.s.l.). We continue straight on along the cart track into a long and very steep slope.(climb V5 and V6, which fortunately run on good ground.)There follows a levelling . We ride past the herdsmen's huts at Kovce (1270 m a.s.l.) and on to the fork (1280 m a.s.l.). We turn along the left, marked branch (the right one leads to a large grassy clearing).From here on the cart track becomes stonier; on two short slopes there are too many rocks , so we have to walk for 2 min. The last part, which goes through the forest, is steep again, but nicely rideable. We ride out into the open and along a grassy cart track to the huts on the Konjščica mountain pasture(1438 m a.s.l.) The descent runs along a marked path which leads beside the Ribnica stream. Just behind the huts we have to cross a little stream and take a track into the forest. We continue on foot to the beginning of the cart track(10 min of carrying and pushing along a path that is steep and stony in places). Along it we descend (S4 with S5 spots) to the beginning of the forest road and the car park(1340 m a.s.l.)below Miškovec. On a slight climb we continue 1 km along the road. At the first junction (1310 m a.s.l.) we turn right, in the direction of the signpost for Uskovnica (the left branch leads to Rudno polje). On a slight descent we ride to the next junction(1230 ma.s.l.), where we go right (the left branch is for Rudno polje) and a few dozen metres further on (1225 m.a.s.l) once more right (the road goes straight on to Goreljek).And blow me, a metre or two further there is yet another fork (1125 m a.s.l.), where we must go straight on(the right branch leads to Uskovnica). On a gentle descent we come onto the Na Šehu mountain pasture (1090 m a.s.l.). We go past the first huts, which are on the right, to the meeting point (1095 m.a.s.l.)of the road and two cart tracks. The left one is grassy and indistinct, the right one more rutted and visible. We turn off the road, which goes past the sign "no traffic" straight on and up to the weekend cottages, onto the said right-hand cart track. Along it we ride across the meadow, to a weekend cottage on the left. Beside it we continue a few metres further to a barely visible track. We turn right along it, ride slightly downhill across the meadow (SW direction) and on into the forest.Among the trees we continue downwards along the track , all the way to the meeting(1000 m a.s.l.)with a cart track which cuts across the track. We turn left along it. On a steep, stony and exceptionally demanding descent(S6 and with S7 spots) along this abandoned cart track we come down into the Ribnica valley. The second half of this descent in particular is technically extremely demanding; in places we have to dismount. At the end of the cart track we continue along the road which runs along the left bank of the Ribnica into Srednja vas (583 m a.s.l.)From here we cycle along the asphalt road through Stara Fužina and along the direction of the ascent to the starting point- Ribčev Laz.
