Café Vahtnca Škofja Loka is located in the heart of the medieval town of Škofja Loka, on Plac, the central Mestni trg.

We are glad to look after all coffee lovers and also those enjoyers who swear by drinking tea. Should a craving for something sweet drive you to us, we will pamper you with divine little cakes of various flavours. For cooling down on hot days, or simply from sinful thoughts, a scoop or two of ice cream will take care of things. On winter days you can warm your chilled fingers with a cup of hot chocolate or mulled wine. With us the thirsty will not be left with dry mouths either. We offer a wide range of juices and other soft drinks, and with a chilled indulgence we serve sworn beer drinkers too. When the day turns to night and the first stars are drawn on the sky, we invite you to a glass of white or red wine. On special occasions you can also toast with a glass of sparkling wine.

Our café can boast two gardens. The eastern, public garden on the central Mestni trg is intended for all those who like to watch and like to be noticed. It is suitable for all voyeurs, seducers and gossips, for you who like to be at the centre of attention and for you who with one eye always keep a vigilant watch on what is happening on the town promenade. The western garden is more intimate and mysterious. It is located in the inner courtyard and is surrounded by the high walls of the Loka houses. It is intended for all who, in the bustle of everyday obligations, need a little Zen beauty and peace. And in the evenings, pure romance. Is there anything more beautiful than, over a glass of good wine, under a starry sky, to utter “those” two magic words to the beloved person who shares this moment with you?
