The Tinkara log cabin or hut, Pokljuka was completely renovated in 2010 and at newly fitted with furniture and equipment. Heating is underfloor and by a fireplace stove.
The log cabin Tinkara is located below the Hotel Jelka na Pokljuka, where there is a restaurant, a sauna and a sports hall with play equipment. Bled is about 12 km away, Bohinj about 15 km.
Access to the log cabin or hut is from the asphalt road, which is in the immediate vicinity, about 40 m. Parking is possible by the road.
In winter two ski tows operate right nearby – one 300 m long and a children's tow. In winter there is also sledging track.
Cross-country trails are laid out at the Rudno polje ski centre, which is 4 km away.
There are many starting points for hiking in the area. In summer nature offers the chance to pick mushrooms and blueberries or simply to walk in beautiful surroundings.
