At the beginning of the 20th century an enterprising wine merchant, »Šterno«, noticed the particular charm of the river Sava and bought up the wild, uncultivated land near the river beach. There he put up a masonry building, which today is renovated into a pleasant the inn Štern Ljubljana with a wide selection of home-style and other cuisine, where the friendly staff strive to satisfy the wishes of even the most demanding gourmets.
