Eastern Slovenia is a landscape of thermal and mineral water. The health resorts are strung out from Moravske Toplice and Radenci in the north via Podčetrtek and Olimje to Laško and Čatež ob Savi, and the area is known for its pool complexes, saunas and wellness offering. Between swims it is worth turning off into the plain by the Mura, among the Prekmurje villages with their storks, to the wine hills by Ptuj and to the homesteads where gibanica and bograč are served.
