Srednja vas v Bohinju lies at the foot of Pokljuka, about four kilometres east of Lake Bohinj and three kilometres from Bohinjska Bistrica. Through the village runs the Ribnica stream, which forms two waterfalls; it is about half an hour's walk from the village to them.
On the village hill stands the church of St Martin, from where a view opens onto Rudnica and Studor, and in summer it is the venue for the Bohinj Musical Summer events. Below Rudnica there is the small Senožeta ski slope with a drag lift and lighting for evening skiing.
