KRANJ BEER HALL
A good brewery goes together with a good pub! The pub's offer is based on the local Kranj beer, but we can offer the guest more than just beer. Besides the entire range of Kranj beer, we offer specialities such as mulled Kranj beer and cocktails whose base is, of course, beer. Besides beer and beer derivatives, we offer excellent Barocco coffee, wines, alcoholic and soft drinks. Since it is fitting for a pub that one should also eat well, we can serve a hungry guest Carniolan sausage, specially prepared and spiced chicken wings, zaseka and pizzas. We are also already preparing an offer of classic pub food (such as, for example, crispy knuckles, grilled dishes and the like), but that will come as a spring surprise.

Kranjska brewery and pub stoji ob kanjonu reke Kokre in premains a real speciality and a distinctive attraction of the town of Kranj. The way to the brewery and beer hall is admittedly somewhat winding and leads through the interior of the IBI centre, but when you reach it a space opens up that offers an ideally calm environment for enjoying an excellent offer.

The brewery opened its doors in 2014 and has since then produced beer that is increasingly recognised beyond the borders of the land of Carniola as well (hence the name Carniolan beer). The original recipe for Carniolan beer comes from the Bavarian royal court, and we produce it traditionally according to the Bavarian purity law. That means that the beer contains only water, malt, hops and yeast.

WHAT MAKES KRANJ BEER SPECIAL
In ordinary beer brewing, unfortunately, various additives are (too) often used as well, natural and rather less natural, which help to improve the colour, the head and the taste of the beer, but above all make sure that the beer can go to market as soon as possible and keeps for an above-average length of time.

Kranjsko pivo contains no additives, added sugars or preservatives!

Most bottled beers are filtered and pasteurised, Kranjsko pivo is unfiltered and unpasteurised and therefore somewhat cloudier. Filtering impoverishes the beer, which is why we do not use that process at the Kranj brewery. But this also means that the beer does not keep as long as other beers.

Kranj beer is a natural product, as is shown by the fact that at least 28 days must pass from brewing to the moment when we can serve it to a guest – exactly one lunar cycle.

PRODUCT RANGE
At present we have light, red and dark beer available, using the bottom-fermentation method. In future it is planned that we will complete our production range with a natural radler, a wheat beer and perhaps once again with one of the popular ales, that is, beers made by the top-fermentation method.

KRANJSKO PIVO TO TAKE HOME, ON THE ROAD, TO A PICNIC OR AS A GIFT OR SOUVENIR
We also have Carniolan beer available in kegs of 10, 20, 30 and 50 litres. They are ideal for picnics, and we will lend you a dispensing unit free of charge as well, so that you can easily pour cold beer yourselves. Carniolan beer is also available in 5l aluminium kegs, 2l bottles and 2l gift bottles.

KRANJSKO PIVO IN OTHER BARS AND INNS
We also supply and deliver beer to order to catering venues, restaurants and hotels. With the weekly delivery of fresh beer we also carry out an inspection and cleaning of the dispensing equipment. In this way we ensure that you pour the guest beer of the same quality as we have it »at home«.
