Father Ivan came from Čadrg, a village above Tolmin, at the beginning of the seventies, mother Dora from Lepena, a side valley of the village of Soča. Father was brought to the valley by work, and the fateful meeting with our mother turned the circle of their lives. They bought an old homestead and built themselves a home and their dreams. They put up a new house and slowly over the years also finished it. Father had a job at that time, he was a district forester, mother looked after us children. Four of us were born: Boštjan, Alenka, Primož and Ana. The first beginningstourismwere very simple. In the summer months we moved above the woodshed and let our rooms to guests, the first as early as 87′. Today, guestswe offerthree double rooms with their own bathroom and balcony, two apartments and shared beds.
CAMPSITE DAIRY
Besides tourism, we have always also been engaged infarming. The flock of sheep grew and we gained experience and knowledge. Father taught himself to makesheep's cheeseaccording to a traditional recipe that was first written down as early as the 14-th century. He passed on his knowledge to his elder son Boštjan too, who now runs the farm and has around 110 dairy sheep of the indigenous Bovec sheep breed, or in local speech »trentarka«. On the farm we also have a couple of cows of the Tolmin cika breed, four donkeys, which are only for fun, some pigs and hens. Of course a farm without cats and dogs is not a proper farm. Without them it does not work.

Alenka has four children: Eva, Tinkara, Vid and Lovro. Eva has found a home with her Žan and creates tattoos (link to her instagram), while the other three are still at home and help diligently on the farm. Tinkara's girlfriend Michelle already steers skilfully around the kitchen with Ana at her side and brings new energy. The youngest, Ivan and Dora's daughter Ana, took over her mother's wooden spoon years ago and continues excellently withhome cooking, while at the same time experimenting with new recipes. With great pleasure and enthusiasm he also takes care ofvegetarians and vegans. Primož has a job elsewhere, but lives in the family house and lends a hand when needed.
