Hotel Brdo Kranj is located on the edge of the former castle estate, now a park, on the threshold of the Alps thus ensuring a quiet, pleasant stay not far from everyday bustle.

The charmingly maintained Brdo Park is a treasury of Carniolan aristocratic history. Walking through it you will be able to admire the rich flora and fauna and many sights, such as Brdo Castle with its castle wine cellar, a precious sculpture collection, an apiary with beehive panels by well-known Slovenian painters, thatched hayracks...
You can visit Brdo Park at any time, alone or accompanied by a guide. A guided tour must be arranged in advance at the reception of Hotel Kokra.
You pay the entrance fee for the park at the gatekeeper's at the park entrance or at the hotel reception. Hotel guests enter the park free of charge.
You can also see the park by carriage. When there is enough snow we harness the horses to a sleigh and so create an especially romantic atmosphere.
On Sunday afternoons we run regular 20-minute rides through the park or 45-minute rides across the whole estate.
Brdo Castle with its appearance and its setting in impeccably maintained park grounds delights numerous visitors today. They can walk along the laid-out park paths, through ancient tree avenues, view the sculpture collection, the apiary, the hippodrome, sit by the two little lakes, enjoy the company of Lipizzaners, fish, ducks and geese, practise golf, or with prior reservation try the top offer of the other facilities (the Jezero lodge, the Zois restaurant, the Brdo congress centre, the Kokra hotel, the Vrelec relaxation centre).
Viewing the exterior of Brdo castle and estate is possible by prior arrangement.
