The typical Mediterranean cultural landscape of the Seča peninsula with groves of olives and vineyards, interwoven with footpaths and cycle paths, in the immediate vicinity of Portorož, offers accommodation in the apartment house Oase Soline Portorož, which is suitable for lovers of nature and adapted to breaks for couples, individuals and above all smaller groups of friends and larger families (from 10 – 18 people).

ACCESS: From the main road follow the sign for Marina or the airport. In Seča, opposite the »Kapitol« inn, turn right and after 100 metres you reach the garden entrance and the yellow house.
INFO: The distance to the shopping centre and the beach in Portorož/Lucija or to the beach at Cape Seča is approx. 1.5 km, and to the fishing and historic little town of Piran 5 km. Entry to the beach in the centre of Portorož is free of charge. The distance to the well-known walking and cycling path »Parenzana« and to the entrance Solin (eco spa open-air with thalasso therapies in the brine pools, where we can book for you treatments), is only 350 m away.

Sights, activities and short excursions
* Walks along the marked health walking trail (no.10) to and around Solin, the shortest footpaths, which leads over the ridge of the Seča peninsula to Lucija (the Mercator shop) and Portorož.
* Cycling: of particular interest is the cycle path »Parenzana«, a former railway line, today a path linking three lands (Trieste, the Slovenian coast and Croatian Istria). The D8 cycling route is beautiful too.
* In Seča it is worth seeing a cactus garden, the Forma Viva exhibition of stone sculptures, a visit to the Salt Pans by kayak. In the middle of an olive grove or in a local inn, where Tito too liked to stop and enjoy the delicacies of the Littoral, we can prepare a typical Istrian »marenda« with prosciutto, cheese in brine, local wines, fig brandy, delicacies from the grill and other local specialities. A demonstration of olive picking and a description of the production olive oil.
* Climbing in Osp - the Karst edge
* Guided tours for a fee: Soline safari - a visit to the salt pans (approx. 400 m away), to the production of salt in the salt basins and to the shop »Kaserma«, a nostalgic building – the former customs house of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy for the export of salt, and today a gallery and a unique shop of salt products for well-being, of medicinal herbs and indigenous souvenirs. Possible is trekking with a donkey.
* New so Eko terme Solinwhere, in the middle of the salt fields, in addition to natural massages, Kneipp treading in pools of sea water, therapeutic pools with brine, with salt-pan mud and other natural products, spa and wellness services will also be offered in the open air. The renowned chef Damjan (known from RTV Slo) invites you in the Salt Pans, in a typical local establishment, to Mediterranean culinary experiences. In the older part of the salt pans, called »Fontaniggie«, the salt-making museum and the bird reserve are also worth seeing.
Use of the natural thalasso SPA thermal facilities at the salt pans, in the salt basins, is possible.
