Dornberk is a large clustered village in the lower Vipava valley which administratively belongs to the City Municipality of Nova Gorica. It stands on raised ground on the left bank of the Vipava, so the houses are protected from flooding, while the flat land by the river is given over to farming.
The place is considered the centre of viticulture in this part of the valley, and it is also known for its peach orchards, irrigated with water from the Vogršček reservoir. From Dornberk roads branch off towards Ajdovščina, Nova Gorica and Sežana. Browse accommodation and taste the food and drink on offer in Dornberk and the surrounding area.
